Chelsea is reportedly in negotiations to sign Declan Rice this summer with West Ham United.
The Blues are willing to sell €45 million to West Ham on a deal to land Rice, 21, at Stamford Bridge.
However, if both parties reach an agreement for Rice before the transfer window closes next month, Frank Lampard ‘s side will give a five-year extension to England International that will see him remain at the West London club until 2025.
The famous sport journalist and transfer specialist, Nicolo Schira, made this known.
On Friday morning Schira announced this in a tweet from his official Twitter account.
“Chelsea are in talks for Declan Rice,” Schira tweeted.
“Blues are ready to offer €45M to West Ham to sign the midfielder.
“If two clubs reach an agreement, Rice will sign a 5-year contract.”
Rice, who has a recorded price tag of about £ 75 million, has attracted Chelsea’s attention in the last couple of weeks.
Chelsea will face Manchester United competition for Rice ‘s signature.
Rice started his career at Chelsea but the latter joined West Ham after being kicked out as a youth by the Premier League giants.
